For a first visit, theΒ chopped brisketΒ is an easy place to start. TheΒ ribsΒ are another favorite, bringing seasoned, smoky meat with a tender bite. Food - came twice while on a work trip. Sausage and ribs were real good. Seasoned and smoked well. Brisket was dry both times even when asking for moist/fatty. The Mac and cheese and veggies were amazing. Service - friendly folks. Felt at home. Very personable.
Fast and easy Service. Down to Earth Atsmosphere. Placed a order to go and had it in my hands within 5 mins hot and Fresh.
We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect! They greet you when you walk in, seat yourself, our waitress was very friendly and personable. Unfortunately, I donβt remember her name. We had the Cowboy plate with Mac & cheese, pinto beans, & an appetizer of fried mushrooms. Also, had to get a banana pudding to go. Canβt wait to eat that later tonight! *Side note: even the ladies room was clean (both appearance and smell!) super cute rustic look!)
The food was definitely a 10 out of 10! Oh my God the ribs fell off the bone, the brisket was just as delicious! But the service my God.... Chesney was an absolutely outstanding server! From the moment we sat down, she made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. She knew the menu inside and out and gave excellent recommendations that truly elevated our meal. Her attention to detail, friendly attitude, and exceptional service made our experience unforgettable. Chesney went above and beyond in every way, and we couldnβt have asked for better service. Weβll definitely be backβand weβll be asking for her!
This was a great find for lunch on a long drive. I had the brisket and sausage, and it was great. The wait for the food was reasonable, and the waitress checked back several times to ensure everything was right and to see if I needed anything else. While I didn't get dessert, it sure looked good. Looking forward to my next visit.
Love there cat fish and shrimp plate, the burgers are good as well letβs not forget to mention that they have lots of different desserts that are pretty good and tasty, the people there are very nice and helpful, always have a smile. One of the negatives is that they have a bit of dusty animal heads hanging on the walls, so maybe a bit of spring cleaning would help overall I do enjoy going to this restaurant now and then.
All you can eat BBQ on Saturday and Sunday. $26 per person is a steal. You can pick all your can eat catfish, or BBQ. When brought at the right timing, the bbq is very tender. Our initial plate wasnβt tender: meat didnβt leave pork bones. Our 2nd plate was amazing: meat fell off the bones easily.
Best chicken fried steak in Texas. Barbara and Cindy are amazing waitresses, the service was excellent and they were extra busy. The sides were great and a huge selection of pies if you have room. This whole dining experience was tried and true old school Texan.
